ADVERSITY

Well what can I say...the "Adversity Bug" still seems to be haunting us (K and I) still, big time. Honestly I'm reluctant to even write about it anymore because it begins to appear as if I'm whining and complaining, feeling sorry for myself or K-Sue.

Kim's assignment at her current position was ended, oddly last night by a phone call at 8pm from the Temp Service she works for. It was a Shock and now we start over.

We are both grateful for the love and support of our friends but that being said it is getting very difficult to carry on. The further we go into this the HARDER not easier it gets...I cannot even begin to figure this out so we keep putting one foot in front of the other and continue to push up the hill. NEVER SURRENDER...

  1. Hang in there! Remember, it's always darkest before the dawn:

    "Regrets collect like old friends
Here to relive your darkest moments
I can see no way, I can see no way
And all of the ghouls come out to play

And every demon wants his pound of flesh
But I like to keep some things to myself
I like to keep my issues strong
It's always darkest before the dawn

And I've been a fool and I've been blind
I can never leave the past behind
I can see no way, I can see no way
I'm always dragging that horse around

Our love is questioned, such a mournful sound
Tonight I'm gonna bury that horse in the ground
So I like to keep my issues strong
But it's always darkest before the dawn"

One of my favorite songs, "Shake it Out" by Florence and the Machine. :)

    1. My experience has shown me the same thing...it is always darkest before the dawn. One of the most difficult posts I ever wrote here...the first time I really wrote about my suicide attempt is titled just that: Darkest Before the Dawn...

    2. So happy you reposted. I'm sure it felt good to get it out. The hardest things to write about are the most rewarding.
