B-BOYS Prevail 67-53

The Purdue Boilermakers managed a workman-like victory over their arch-Rivals, the Indiana Hoosiers 67-53 tonight in Mackey Arena.

As a longtime Boilermaker fan, it really doesn't matter what the team's records are going into this game, a win over ANY IU team is a BIG win in my book.

Finally, E'Twaun Moore seemed to get on track and really play his game scoring 25 points tonight. JJ (JaJuan Johnson) had 15 and 4 blocks plus the Boilers got 13 from Lewis Jackson.

Purdue seemed in control throughout the game but could never put the pedal down and pull away. No matter really, it was a good solid win, in front of a national TV (ESPN) audience against their biggest rival. Coming off a loss to Wisconsin a week ago on the road it was great to get back in winning form again.

With some really tough games coming up at Illinois (2/13), then Wisconsin (2/16) and Ohio State (2/20) at home, this win gets them back on track with a slight chance to still contend for the regular Big 10 Championship though they trail Ohio State by 3 games and will desperately need some help.

But all in all it was a great night for the B-Boys, beating their dreaded rivals in front of a raucous crowd on a frigid February night in West Lafayette....It's what Big 10 Basketball is all about!
