Cool Stuff

Well earlier today, I go on and on in a post about being a bit concerned because I'm talking about my health a lot. I didn't want to come off as one of those folks that is always whining about their lot in life. Well guess what I'm going to post about tonight? The Purdue vs Michigan State Basketball Game in the B-10 Tournament? Uh...NADA. Even though it's going on as I write, that isn't it.

What else...My Health! I'm being a bit goofy about this but I actually got some sobering news this morning. And since my commitment to this Blog was to document the things going on in my life I am just gonna spill it...

They found some in plural, multiple tumors. On the lower lobe of my right lung and several more leisens in my lower abdomen. We have a great deal of testing yet to be done so I'm not going to do any speculating tonight and in all honesty it doesn't do any good to guess. What I do know tonight is this:

I have to have stomach surgery to fix the damage from Barrett's Esophagus. I was expecting that and it quite frankly is welcome. I knew that it was damaged and this surgery will fix that. Believe me, I can use some relief.

I have tumors on my lung and in my abdomen. Obviously we need to find out about those and are going to start scheduling more tests this coming week.

There are still unanswered questions concerning several symptoms I have so we are still pursuing answers to those questions as well. There is quite a bit more information but that is all I'd really like to share hear on the Blog.

It is pretty wild to have my faith tested so quickly right out of the spiritual gate, eh? I don't think for a second that it is a coincidence...nope, no way. And I'm not afraid to ask...if you happen to be the praying kind of person and you have a little room for this old blogger, perhaps you could remember me? Thanks, I can use all the help I can get!

So I'll take this whole thing a day and a step at a time. We (my doctor's and I) still need to gather all the facts, lay that out and formulate the best way to solve the issues that are identified. We also know that the surgery I mentioned before is a go unless something else would come up that would inhibit or prevent the surgery from taking place...

So I suppose I have my answer about this mornings post. I guess it isn't whining when you have a tumor, lol! I'm kidding of course but I now know, I have a need and there isn't anything wrong or unreasonable in talking about it. Funny how the answers in life just come when you have a little faith....

  1. Now I see what you meant by your comment last night.

I don't believe it is a matter of you having your faith tested so soon after finding it. I believe it to be more a matter of you finding your faith at just the right time.

  2. SG-You got that right, I totally believe that's true...I don't think there is any doubt about it. I just love the realization that I'm not alone and I NEVER have to be alone again. And boy I remember well what it feels like to be alone....
